Honest, dependable, knowledgeable. From the person that answers the phone to the person who puts the finishing touches on a repair, these people are OUTSTANDING! Their salt delivery person also does an EXCELLENT job. I would highly recommend them!

Live in South Lyon and had water softener go out on me on Wednesday - nightmare for this area. Called Country/State Soft, and they had someone here Thursday (Rob - came out and pretty much explained every line item in detail, what needs to change and what shouldn’t, tested my water intake and didn’t try to sell me anything I wouldn’t need). Unfortunately they were already booked for Friday install so i was on the schedule for Monday morning. But my water got so bad i called them Friday to see if they can move me up somehow. Tara answered and was very understanding (untreated water in SL can ruin your RO filters and appliances pretty quickly), long story short she was able to shift things around, called me in 30 mins and had a crew out here in less than an hour. Rob and Jason did the Installation, it was completed in about two hours and they were very thorough and clean.This type of customer support is very impressive, especially in this day and age.Not sure about Country before State Soft took them over but now the way this company is running business is news worthy!Keep up the good work! And thanks to everyone involved!

Rob came out to our new home in Blissfield where the well water had not been treated. As you can see from the photo the water was beyond rusty. Immediately after the hook up and flush of the system I filled a glass of water and that’s the second photo 😱 my review can’t say what those pictures can!!! Great customer service, INCREDIBLE results, and fair pricing! I highly recommend this company and will continue to do business with them for years to come!!

At times my water softener was making a loud banging noise. I am 75 yrs old and know nothing about softeners. I called State Soft Water and they set up a appointment. They came on time. The tech examined my softener, double checked everything and reset some things. The problem wasn't in my softener but in the water pressure from the city. The tech could of very well said I needed a new softener and I wouldn't of known the difference. Very satisfied for what I was charged. Highly recommend them.

My wife and I purchased a house in Livingston County in 2020. We are expatriates currently living 10,000 miles away in Australia. We had new tenants move into the home in February this year and they reported a foul odor in the water, along with rust stains. We had no idea who to call, and importantly, who we could trust; but found State Soft Water on Google and were impressed with their many glowing reviews (including the fact they were local). I first spoke with Erica who was great to work with, who then put me onto Ryan. He was amazing. He went above and beyond with every aspect of the service. He was punctual, extremely respectful, polite, patient, very knowledgeable and always professional.After he fitted an iron filter which resolved the water issues, we (not long after) again contracted Ryan and SSW to fit a new water heater (and reverse osmosis fresh water system) as the existing Bradford White water heater was 23 years old and we weren't sure how much longer it would last? Ryan sourced the particular heater we wanted (Bradford White 75 gal power vent) and even passed on a saving to us he was able to negotiate with the supplier, despite the heater practically being sold out everywhere locally. It was installed with no issues, and they even identified an installation issue caused when the home was built in the 90's (but no other contractor who worked on the home before SSW were able to notice).Ryan and the team at SSW are very 'old school' trustworthy. They do absolutely everything they promise they will do and are great communicators. My wife and I are very thankful that SSW took charge, managing the process for us given the complexity of our distance issue; and were able to resolve all our water issues on time and to budget. We have every confidence in recommending this family business.We give them a very well earned 5 stars!

So after 20 years of using the same system I noticed a change in the water quality. Being a licensed builder and renovator I started the vetting process and talked to 10 different companies. Eric, the company owner and was the only one who tested the water quality at the faucet, not the well. I knew what the water quality was at the well but more important, what was the quality in my house. We devised a plan and executed it flawlessly. Of noted importance, Jason the installer was awesome. He came clean, polite and well represented the company. When he was done and walking out the door I went downstairs to give a final inspection. I couldn't even tell there was work that was performed there. Nice job! I highly recommend them. I read other poor reviews and really wonder what the customer's real issues were??

State Soft Water came to my newly built home to test my water and provide options for water treatment. The owner Ryan was very knowledgeable, personable and honest. Within a few days we had better water for the home including Reverse Osmosis for drinking water. From the installer to the front office personal, this is the best family owned company I have ever done business with! Highly Recommend.

We recently bought a house with an ANCIENT softening system. Upon recommendation of my brother/neighbor, we contacted State Soft to come out for a free evaluation. Ryan came out and did a thorough evaluation and gave us very reasonable quotes for both renting and purchasing. We didn't even call another company for comparison after his visit! Install happened just a couple of days later & Rob did a great job-removed and hauled away the old system, explained the new system in detail and was polite and engaging. We couldn't be happier with the new system, we've noticed a dramatic change (for the better) already and it's only been a couple weeks. Also, can't beat salt delivered and stacked for $3 bucks! Our water softener was about 20 years old and had quit working. Ryan came out and we decided to purchase a new softener through them. We also had them install a water heater at the same time. Both installs went as planned at the same time. It's great to have soft water again. I would recommend and use these guys again.
