At times my water softener was making a loud banging noise. I am 75 yrs old and know nothing about softeners. I called State Soft Water and they set up a appointment. They came on time. The tech examined my softener, double checked everything and reset some things. The problem wasn't in my softener but in the water pressure from the city. The tech could of very well said I needed a new softener and I wouldn't of known the difference. Very satisfied for what I was charged. Highly recommend them.

State Soft Water fixed my stinky water. They took the time to test the water from multiple spots, found the issue, and fixed it that week at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I purchased a house in Livingston County in 2020. We are expatriates currently living 10,000 miles away in Australia. We had new tenants move into the home in February this year and they reported a foul odor in the water, along with rust stains. We had no idea who to call, and importantly, who we could trust; but found State Soft Water on Google and were impressed with their many glowing reviews (including the fact they were local). I first spoke with Erica who was great to work with, who then put me onto Ryan. He was amazing. He went above and beyond with every aspect of the service. He was punctual, extremely respectful, polite, patient, very knowledgeable and always professional.After he fitted an iron filter which resolved the water issues, we (not long after) again contracted Ryan and SSW to fit a new water heater (and reverse osmosis fresh water system) as the existing Bradford White water heater was 23 years old and we weren't sure how much longer it would last? Ryan sourced the particular heater we wanted (Bradford White 75 gal power vent) and even passed on a saving to us he was able to negotiate with the supplier, despite the heater practically being sold out everywhere locally. It was installed with no issues, and they even identified an installation issue caused when the home was built in the 90's (but no other contractor who worked on the home before SSW were able to notice).Ryan and the team at SSW are very 'old school' trustworthy. They do absolutely everything they promise they will do and are great communicators. My wife and I are very thankful that SSW took charge, managing the process for us given the complexity of our distance issue; and were able to resolve all our water issues on time and to budget. We have every confidence in recommending this family business.We give them a very well earned 5 stars!

We put a water softener and reverse osmosis system into our brand new home by State Soft Water and we have been extremely happy. The president, Ryan Sommer, was very professional, personable, knowledgeable and just a great all around guy to work with. We would recommend this company to others.

We have used State Soft Water in three homes in the Brighton area. Ryan was friendly, professional, and dedicated to providing us with the best options for our current home. Pricing was fair, installation was quick. We are very happy and highly recommend them!

State Soft Water came to my newly built home to test my water and provide options for water treatment. The owner Ryan was very knowledgeable, personable and honest. Within a few days we had better water for the home including Reverse Osmosis for drinking water. From the installer to the front office personal, this is the best family owned company I have ever done business with! Highly Recommend.

We recently bought a house with an ANCIENT softening system. Upon recommendation of my brother/neighbor, we contacted State Soft to come out for a free evaluation. Ryan came out and did a thorough evaluation and gave us very reasonable quotes for both renting and purchasing. We didn't even call another company for comparison after his visit! Install happened just a couple of days later & Rob did a great job-removed and hauled away the old system, explained the new system in detail and was polite and engaging. We couldn't be happier with the new system, we've noticed a dramatic change (for the better) already and it's only been a couple weeks. Also, can't beat salt delivered and stacked for $3 bucks! Our water softener was about 20 years old and had quit working. Ryan came out and we decided to purchase a new softener through them. We also had them install a water heater at the same time. Both installs went as planned at the same time. It's great to have soft water again. I would recommend and use these guys again.

20 year hard water problem solved in one day with State Soft.Have had bad water since I bought the house. Have tried many different fixes. State soft was the only company to test the water and recommend an specific fix for my particular water problem. Which was to get an "iron master" to pull the iron out before the softer stage.My water is now crystal clear, no odor and taste great. Nice Job State Soft!

Our well water is extremely hard with significant iron. Erica and Rob evaluated my problem and made a recommendation specifically to treat our water condition. Immediately upon installation, we noticed that our issues were resolved. We also drink a lot of water so we installed a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system. Now, excellent drinking water is available at our sink.

I found State Soft Water after they were recommended by a co-worker. After I scheduled an appointment, they drove almost two and a half hours to come test my well water to see what kind of softener I needed free of charge. When they gave me a quote, the prices were fair and reasonable. They didnt they to pressure me onto a sale and they didnt try to over sell me on a system I didn't need. When I decided to go with them, they came back to install it very quickly. During the installation, their representative explained everything and got everything working quickly. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a softener or purification system.
